Eight Months Old

Judah is 8 months old! We don't have to go to the doctor till he is 9 months, so I am not sure on weight, height and head circumference. Let's just say he's big, long and large. :) And absolutely squishy and precious.

  • He is wearing 6-12 month and 9-12 month clothing. He is still wearing a size 3 diaper and I have found the cutest diapers at Target. They have blue and green polka-dots on them. But my mom and dad buy our diapers, so I am grateful for that, so I don't forsee a lot of those diapers in our future. His shoe size is 4, but he has not been wearing any.
  • He hates wearing a hat. As soon as we put one on he immediately takes it off. Which is a bummer because he is so cute in a hat.
  • He has two bottom teeth. I kept thinking that his top teeth were coming in, but not yet. Like my friend Jill, we blame everything on teething. :)
  • He is Speedy Gonzales on his knees. He can get from one room to another in no time flat. He is very purposeful in his crawling.
  • He is becoming very interested in his daddy and Lawson when they are playing and wrestling on the bed. I think he knows that one day soon he will get to join in and play.
  • He is doing well with taking what Lawson dishes out. Unfortunately, Lawson loves to poke him in the face and bop him on the head with toys. And tackle him. And jump on him. One day, Judah will have his revenge!
  • He is eating baby food well. He eats some sort of breakfast baby food in the morning, then a veggie for lunch and a veggie and fruit for dinner. We still have not found anything he won't eat. I have not given him any baby food with meat. That kind of grosses me out. He does not nurse like Lawson did. I could nurse Lawson anytime. Judah is very much a 4 hour or more guy.
  • We have not tried a sippy cup yet. He still takes the bottle well. He would probably like to have a sippy cup so he can be like his big brother.
  • Judah will play by himself some. He likes to go to Lawson's room and play with all his toys and chew on his books. It's so cute to walk in on him playing, because he looks so sweet playing on the floor. He does not have a favorite toy. He does like things that light up and make noise.
  • I will read him stories and he tolerates them better than his brother did. He will sit and let me read to him and turn the pages. No throwing the book or trying to eat the book.
  • He is starting to pull up on toys and the coffee table. Will he walk soon?
  • He is getting better about riding in the BOB. He doesn't love it like Lawson did. But Lawson is beginning to jog more, so hopefully that will help him enjoy it more. He prefers to be carried in the sling.
  • He is very vocal. He loves to blow razzberries and laugh. He babbles a lot too. Sometimes in the middle of the night. That is not so cute.
  • Napping has not been good. For some reason he does not want to sleep in his crib. When you lay him down he will immediately pop up and start crying. And will not give up. Then, as soon as you pick him up, he is asleep. But he will sleep anywhere else. Maybe his mattress is not comfy enough.
  • He got his first boo boo. He got a nice shiner. He looked like a brawler with it. Bless his heart!

I think you need to blow that picture of Judah with his tongue out to jumbo size. It is so cute!
