Ten Months

Judah is ten months old! We didn't go to the doctor at 9 months, we went at 10 months and here are his stats:
  • Height: 29 1/2 inches (had to be re-measured because the first time he was 28 1/2 inches and that put him in the 50th percentile which was a big drop from the 95th percentile, which the doctor didn't like. With him being 29 1/2 inches, he is in the 75th percentile, so still above average.)
  • Weight: 22 pounds (still a chunky monkey)
  • Head circumference: 18 1/2 inches (still a big head)
He is a happy, happy boy! He is now sleeping in his crib (after putting it on strike for months), sleeping through the night (most nights) and taking two naps a day, each 1 1/2 -2 hours. Yay! Life is good!

Tricks: Judah can clap his hands and wave bye-bye on command. He is starting to cruise around furniture and stand for a couple of seconds at a time. He likes his walking/push toy and pushes it on his feet and on his knees around the house. He also is learning how to fake cry when I tell him "No". Seriously? How do you learn to fake cry? It's hilarious though! However, I do hurt his feelings sometimes and he will just bawl when I tell him "No".

Food: He is starting to eat some table food. He loves Ritz crackers, rice and macaroni and cheese. I mean, who doesn't? There isn't a baby food he doesn't like. He also loves anything sweet. With Lawson, we tried not to give him sweets, but Judah has had lots of tastes. I went to Sam's Club and fed him a small piece of strawberry lemonade cake (which was terrible, by the way, but he loved it.)

Size: He is wearing 9-12 month clothes (which are almost too small) and 12-18 month clothes. Still in a size 3 diaper, but moving towards a size 4. He wears a size 5 shoe, when I put them on him. He doesn't love them.

Language: Judah is making lots of consonant sounds. Still no words, but "da da" comes out a lot, as does "ma ma". I still don't think there is much of a connection of us to the words, but soon.:) Lawson has taught him to yell so they will yell at each other. It's cute, when we are outside. He loves to point at stuff and say "tha", like he's asking "What's that?". He can also understand some commands: "Wave bye-bye", "give it to me", "clap your hands". He also has learned how to sign "more". What a smarty!!!!

We have noticed that Judah seems to have such a sweet spirit about him. He loves to hug you and will squeeze your neck so tight. He will also let you kiss him repeatedly. Which I am happy to do.:) He seems to be a bit more sensitive than Lawson as well. He will just sit and let you hold him too. As long as it's on his terms. If you need to hold him he wants to get down. And if you need to get something done and want him to play, he wants to sit in your lap forever. :) Love it!!!
