Fourth of July

Sadly, I have no pictures of the Fourth of July festivities this year. Other people took pictures of us, but for some reason our camera was in hiatus. It started out with Church of the Highlands firework celebration. We went for praise and worship at 7:00 and then at 9:00 the fireworks kicked off. Baby Lawson loved the fireworks. My dad came in to town, so he was able to celebrate with us. We had a very popular blanket, and we surrounded by our great friends and family. On Friday, we went to our friend, Brandon's, house to swim. Hayley, his girlfriend was there, as well as Susan and Nick and their daughter Caitlin. We had not met them before, so it was wonderful making new friends. We went to Susan and Nick's for a cookout and ate a ton of food. Hayley made a fantastic Baby Blue Salad and homemade ice cream. Then we all came back to our house to watch Thunder on the Mountain. Those are fireworks over the Vulcan. Saturday we got up and went to the Black Warrior River with our friends, Jeff and Beth. They moved into a house across the street from us and go to Church of the Highlands as well. They have become dear friends of ours. Beth's parents have a house on the river, as do her two uncles and her aunt. So there was a ton of family and friends all hanging out down by the river. The food was INCREDIBLE!!!! Slabs and slabs of ribs, boston butt pork, chicken, salads, baked beans, homemade pimiento and cheese, fruit, desserts, etc...We stuffed ourselves. Baby Lawson loved the boat rides too. We went on a pontoon boat and a ski boat. He was partial to speed. It was a wonderful holiday weekend.
