Oh my goodness! Time flies! I can't believe that Lawson is one month away from his 1st birthday! My baby is no longer a baby, but a toddler. We have to shop in a different section of the store for clothes. He is eating more and more foods. And enjoying them. He is drinking from a sippy cup. He loves his water. Lawson has been pulling up to a standing position for a couple of months, but he is now "cruising" along the furniture. Especially if there is something at the other end that he wants. He also went from a sitting to standing position without using anything to hold on to. I wasn't there to see that one. I think we are going to give the official title of first word as "dada". I am a little sad it's not "mama", but it's o.k. Baby Lawson will look for Lawson and it seems as if he's attaching meaning to him and says "dada". He knows "bye-bye" because he will wave one or both hands at the person leaving or in the general direction of the person leaving. He did try to wave at a lady in Publix, but all he did was wave at the canned corn. He also knows "night-night" because he will usually get sad when we tell him it's time for bed. When Lawson hears a song, he will start to bounce around. It's so cute. Lawson (Dad) likes to play rap music because he thinks it makes Baby Lawson dance more. He's wearing 12-18 month clothes and a size 3 1/2 shoe. We have moved him to a size 4 diaper, which are a tad bit big, but the size 3's were too small. His naps are getting longer and he usually sleeps for about 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon. He is a night owl though. He likes to stay up late. I guess he is afraid he is going to miss something. Lawson is teething as well. I think his molars might be coming in. He is handling it like a champ. He hasn't been that fussy at all.
Let's see..his favorites now are: The Backyardigans Theme Song, Yogurt Bites from Gerber (They are freeze dried yogurt bites. Very weird but strangely addicting), opening and closing doors, splashing and standing up in the tub, making faces, being outside, yelling, trying to get into trash cans, chewing on cords, broccoli (who would have guessed?), his Pablo and Uniqua toys (from the Backyardigans), chewing on books, playing Pat-A-Cake.
Things he doesn't like: getting his diaper changed, putting clothes on after a bath, getting out of the bath, watermelon, peaches, when we take the remote control away from him, not letting him crawl out the door, Hyland's tablets for teething and colic, being left at the nursery for church (although he never cries that long).
Eleven months old!
Happy boy!
His hair is growing! We are going to let it go and grow.

Baby Lawson is just too cute for words! Ben feels the exact same way about getting dressed after bathtime. Glad to see he's not alone!
I'm adding you to my blog list, if that's ok!
