We had a wondeful Christmas. It started at Thanksgiving, celebrating with Lawson's parents and ended with celebrating Christmas day with my family in Mississippi. We were able to spend a week with my parents in Mississippi. My sister, Damaris and brother-in-law, Ryan, were also in for the holidays. There was much relaxing, game playing, baking, cooking and even a wedding.
Our friends Pat and Claudia drove down from New York to get married. Claudia is from Argentina and my dad speaks Spanish, so Pat thought it would be nice for him to perform the ceremony in English and in Spanish. Plus, Lawson and I were happy that he got married in Ms. so we could attend the wedding. Lee, Candice and Allie Wideman also made the trip for the wedding. The wedding ceremony was held in my parents living room and Lawson took some wonderful pictures. We are hoping that Pat and Claudia decide to move to Birmingham. Syracuse, NY is much too cold.

We ate a ton while at Mom and Dad's. We had chile verde, chile colorado, rice, refried beans, homemade flour tortillas (yum!) and white cheese dip for Christmas Eve dinner. It was soooooo good! Mom also made pies, so we had to eat those too. My favorite is her coconut cream pie. After dinner, Damaris read the Christmas story and then we opened presents. Growing up, we always opened presents on Christmas Eve. Damaris and I grew up not believing that Santa brought our gifts. Baby Lawson decided that it would be a good time to take a nap, so he slept through the whole ordeal. He did wake up though, to look at all his gifts (there were many) and play with his TMX Elmo. That thing is CUTE! Then we all watched "A Charlie Brown Christmas" which is one of the traditions that Lawson grew up with.

Lawson and I are so blessed to have such wonderful parents and in-laws. They love us and love Baby Lawson to pieces. Christmas is a wonderful time to remember how blessed we are that our Heavenly Father loved us enough to send his only Son to be our Redeemer. And how He loved his Son! Sometimes I think we lose sight of what is important, but this Christmas, I realized how wonderful it is for me to be able to stay at home with Baby Lawson. That the sacrifices are not really sacrifices. I didn't need much to begin with. Thank you Lawson, for working so hard and letting me stay at home to raise our son. We love you!
