Labor Day Weekend

Lawson and I took baby Lawson to Belleview, Florida to meet his great-grandparents, Lawson's grandparents. Needless to say, they loved him. We drove several hours on Thursday night and stayed at a motel. Lawson did fantastic riding in the car. Then we woke up and drove the rest of the way in to Gainesville, Florida, where we introduced baby Lawson to the Florida Gators and all the craziness that is involved. We went shopping for Gator paraphernalia, which included car magnets, a car windsock, window stickers, shirts, an outfit for Baby Lawson and a stroller. No one will mistake what team we pull for. We also bought baby sunglasses for Lawson and he looks so cute in them. Then we drove an hour south to Lawson's Mamaw and Pampaw's house to stay with them. We saw Dad Lawson's grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. They were all impressed with Baby Lawson and of course, thought he was so cute. Baby Lawson got to watch his first Florida Gator football game and was impressed with Tim Tebow. He also got to go to Cracker Barrel and saw the waiter trip over his diaper bag and fall flat on his face. Baby Lawson did not laugh. The trip back home was very long, but Baby Lawson did incredibly well. he slept most of the way and while he did have a couple of meltdowns, it was to tell us that his diaper was wet. We are blessed with a great baby son and a great family. We took tons of pictures. Enjoy!

Baby Lawson and Mamaw. He smiled for her as soon as they met.

Baby Lawson, Lawson and Pampaw. Baby Lawson's grandpa Lawson was named after Pampaw's brother, who we call Uncle Lawson. And Pampaw's and Uncle Lawson's father was also named Lawson. It would be nuts if all the Lawson's were in the same room.

How cute is this baby!!!! This was at Great-uncle Doug and Great-aunt Margine's house. We were cheering the Gators on to victory. Thanks to Jimmy for the great Florida onesie. Baby Lawson really likes it.

The sunglasses are so cute and he really seems to enjoy wearing them.
