Lizards, Snakes, Salamanders and Frogs

This past Friday, the boys and I met Lawson after work for a walk around the swamp/river/ecosystem around Hoover. Which in theory sounds like a great time, but for some reason Judah did not want to walk and Lawson missed his nap, so he was just poking along the trail. But as soon as Lawson found them "critters", they were happy. I hate "critters".

The "stop sign" hand.

Tough guy

Checking out a slimy salamander

Judah wanted me, and only me, to carry him.

Checking out the "dirt frogs", as Lawson called them.

Lawson loves frogs. They are his favorite!

Lawson caught a snake. We weren't sure if it was a copperhead or something non-poisonous, we we kept the boys away from it. We did find out it was a Northern Water snake. Apparently it took a wrong turn around Illinois.
