Height: 44 1/2 inches (3' 8 1/2") (75th percentile)
Clothing Size: 4-5
Shoe Size: 13 or 1 (depending on who took the measurements)
Lawson's Favorite Foods:
Chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese, Doritos, cheese, yogurt, grapes, ham and cheese sandwiches on a square bun (Hawaiian Roll), Lucky Charms, sweet tea, milk with Ovaltine, hot dogs, blueberry applesauce, applesauce, Mimi's pumpkin bread, biscuits, doughnuts (the bullseye) and Kolache's from Shipley's, spaghetti, corn dogs, cheese dip and chips, cheese roll up, broccoli and cheese soup (basically if it has cheese, he will eat it), chocolate chip muffins, anything sweet, and flat eggs. We try to encourage him to eat other foods to which he says he doesn't like them, even before he tastes them. He does not like juice at all.
Lawson's Favorite Activities:
Lawson loves to go hunting for critters with his daddy! He loves to find salamanders, lizards, toads, frogs, bugs and snakes. Lawson has found several places where he can take the boys to find these animals. Riding his scooter down hills continues to be a favorite. Lawson played soccer this past fall and did not enjoy it, but since then has enjoyed kicking the soccer ball in the backyard. One thing he does love is hitting t-balls with a bat, so Papi bought him an official t-ball bat and bucket of balls which he loves to hit. He gets so excited when he hits the ball far. Recently, Lawson has begun to enjoy drawing, coloring and writing his name. He will sit at the table and draw (preferring pens). He does get frustrated if we ask him to draw something specific, saying he can't do it, usually without trying first. He loves to go outside and play in the dirt and sand box. He will also ride the big wheel down the small hill in our backyard, which is pretty funny to watch. He has lots of toys, but does not really play with them. It's more of a 'take everything out of the toy box to see what is there" kind of routine. He is getting better though and has shown some improvement with playing independently or with his brother. Lawson has also taken an interest in building with blocks. He has said he wants a drum set for Christmas, so he is taking an interest in music, but in our small house, that will not happen any time soon.:)
Lawson's Favorite TV Shows and Movies:
Lawson continues to be a big fan of Tom and Jerry. We taped "Tom and Jerry and the Wizard of Oz" and he loves to watch it. Other shows he enjoys: Bubble Guppies, Wow Wow Wubbzy, Octonauts, Sid the Science Kid, and Wild Kratts. His favorite movies are Rio and Gnomeo and Juliet. He loves the music in both of those movies. He loves to watch movies about bugs and snakes with his daddy. He and Judah both love Christmas movies (Mickey's Christmas Carol, Twice Upon a Christmas). We watch these over and over during November and December. And on YouTube, so we had to take YouTube off the iPad so these movies would be special!
Lawson's Favorite Books:
This past year, Lawson has really enjoyed listening to stories. His favorites are the "If You Give a Mouse a..." as well as all the other animals in the series. He also likes the Little Golden Books that are from Disney movies, "The Cat in the Hat", and "Jack in the Beanstalk".
Lawson's Favorite Friends:
Lawson had several favorite friends from Mother's Day Out this past year. Price was his favorite and they would sit together at lunch and talk about dinosaurs. Lawson really liked her because she wore" bows in her hair". Other friends were Asher, Jake, Annabelle, and Jackson. He loved his teachers, Ms. Rose and Ms. Donna. Sophia and Vincent are still the kids he sees the most often outside of school and loves to play with them. Bradley and Luke, the kids of some of our dearest friends are also favorites. He plays so well with them. Anna and Tony, who live across the street from us are some of his most favorite people. They love to hang out with him and take him and Judah jogging. They know where all the treats are in Anna's pantry and she always has blue gummies for them. Tony just bought a boat and has taken the boys out on it, which further solidified him as a most favorite person.
Lawson loves music. He loves to watch the video of Gotye's "Somebody That I Used to Know" and sing along. He also likes the Avett Brothers and Mumford and Sons, but that is because that's what plays in the van when he rides along. "The Cave" and "Pretty Girl from Cedar Lane" are two of the ones he requests to hear.
Lawson is a fun-loving, funny kid. We are working on obedience and having a good attitude. He does well at school, but has a tougher time at home. This is something we are prayerfully working through. He enjoys one-on-one time with me or his daddy or grandparents. He loves his grandparents, but loves, loves, loves spending time with his Mimi and Grammie. He loves the ladies! This past year we have seen a maturing in Lawson, but also areas that need to be strengthened and refined. We are blessed that the Lord has entrusted him to our care and we pray we raise him with wisdom and patience. And that he grows as Jesus did, in wisdom and stature and favor with God and man. We love you, Lawson!
