Grammie's Birthday

We went to North Carolina at the end of October to celebrate Terri's birthday and see all the leaves changing. It always seems when we go to NC it rains. And sure enough it did. We did get one day of beautiful weather and the trees were beautiful.

Lawson loves to nibble on Judah's ears.

Lawson (Pawpaw) is now teaching PE at a local elementary school, so the Friday we were in we all went to his Fall Festival. We had Indian Fry Bread. Sadly, no pictures, because I was eating. What's neat about Indian Fry Bread is that it's very much like a tortilla, only thicker. So you ate it with a bean and meat mixture as well as taco toppings. Kind of like a tostada. Yum. After we ate, we decided to take in all the festivities.

The guys

They had a bounce house that Lawson and Alyssa loved. Some other children got in with them, but did not bounce as enthusiastically. We had toi drag Lawson and Alyssa out of it.

I love how his curls bounce.

Wheeeeee!

We got Lawson's hair spray-painted blue and orange. It looks gray.

Lawson loved these horses. Played with them for at least 10 minutes.

Love this picture. I am not sure of the face, but it's cute. If you look at his right eye, he has a small bruise. Because he tossed his sippy cup in a basket at school and it bounced back and hit him in the face. Nice.:)

Kissing Grammie

Showing Judah and Great Aunt Dottie his pumpkin he had painted on his hand.

Saturday was beautiful. Grammie took Lawson and Alyssa out to fingerpaint. Lawson loved it. I have friends who always encourage me to let Lawson fingerpaint, but I just can't bring myself to do it yet. He did have fun though.

We had a surprise birthday for Terri. Brooke and I made Beef Tips and I made a Tres Leches cake. Everything was delicious. The balloons looked nice, but were too much for Lawson and Alyssa. They loved them.

The kids were too busy messing with the ice cream to smile for the camera.

Note the fingerprints where Lawson was already digging into the cake.:)

We had a great time and can't wait to go back for Thanksgiving.
