Friends

I have a friend, Kyra, who was my "roommate" at Shades Cahaba Elementary School. We were both hired in 2002. I was the speech pathologist and she was a special education teacher who decided after one year of special ed, that she wanted to teach Kindergarten. Anyway, we became great friends. We had lots of fun harassing Ed, one of our coworkers. He was a great sport, especially when he would have to listen to me and Kyra sing "Part of Your World" by Ariel-The Little Mermaid. She rocks!!!! A lot of the teachers would call me "Kyra" and would call Kyra "Taryn". The next year, when Kyra defected to Kindergarten, several of the other teachers said it didn't look right because I would walk around and not have Kyra by my side. Apparently we went every where in the school together that first year.:) In August of 2006, she moved to Huntsville because she met a boy and decided to marry him. I miss her. But thankfully she still comes to Birmingham on a regular basis so we are able to get together. A couple of weeks ago we met at our friend, Kristin's house for lunch and catching up. Kristin and Lisa also taught at Shades Cahaba. I love my friends!!!! Here are some pictures.
