4-year-old Lawson

Lawson's 4-year-old stats:
Weight: 41 pounds (75-90th%)
Height: 41 1/4 inches (50-75th%)

Where do I start with Lawson? He is a hoot! He loves to make people laugh and will make faces or dance or just act silly to make you smile. He is high-energy and is moving as soon as his eyes pop open when he wakes up in the morning and attempts to keep them open as long as he can at night. He is easily frustrated, so we are working on controlling emotions when something doesn't go his way or when his little brother does something to him that he doesn't like. He loves his MDO program and has a special little friend named Price. He said he likes to play with her because "she has bows in her hair and she is cute and we talk about dinosaurs". Sounds perfect! He is inquisitive and wants to know the "why" behind everything. He is beginning to enjoy listening to stories more and loves books with photographs of animals. He always wants to help me bake muffins or cookies, but has more fun eating the batter than actually helping. We are working on him playing with Judah. They will play well together and then fight together too. But he is fiercely protective of Judah, if someone else happens to do anything to him.

Favorites:
  • He enjoys eating chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese, ham and cheese on a "square bun" (a Hawaiian King roll), chocolate bars (Fiber One, Clif Bars), hot dogs and oranges. And anything that has sugar.
  • He loves to play with toy animals, his small construction vehicles, the iPad, ride his scooter, play in the sand box, wrestle with his daddy and play hide and seek.
  • He loves Tony and Anna, our neighbors across the street.
  • He loves to watch Tom and Jerry, the Wild Kratts and Word World.
  • He loves to go looking for critters with his dad. Frogs, bugs, lizards, snakes, and salamanders are among his favorites.
  • His favorite song is "Little Birdie in the Tree".
  • While he loves his grandpas, he has a special affection for his Mimi and Grammie. Whenever we leave their houses he cries and cries and then wants to have lots of kisses from them when he is home. There are lots of phone calls and video chats, which help him out.
Lawson is such a precious, compassionate, charming and spirited little boy. We are blessed to have him be ours!
